RV Travel Lifestyle, New Zealand’s longest-running NZ-owned motorhome travel publication. We visit NZ’s most beautiful spots north to south from Cape Reinga to Stewart Island and everywhere in between. Hire or buy an RV for an amazing way to explore our pristine and often wild places. We visit cycleways, historic and cultural sites, Department of Conservation parks, stunning beach and mountain destinations to inspire our readers, along with major cities and small towns, and showcase activities from fishing to motor racing, wine tours to music festivals and shopping. We review RVs, and travellers share their experiences. An excellent publication for those travelling around New Zealand to self-drive an RV or car, and see the best NZ can offer.

End of an Era
Events, Shows and Vans & Vines • Living the RV Lifestyle over 16 years, with side-kick Caspar beside us for 12 of those years.
Maungahina Stud – 80 Years of Hereford Magic • We headed into the hills of the Wairarapa for a Hereford bull auction that’s been running every year for 80 years. We’d been invited along for the annual sale and celebrations, and on a stunning sunny winter’s day, 4 June, it sounded like too good an opportunity to miss.
RV Golfing the Eastern Bay of Plenty • The 12th edition of the ‘Family’ golfing debacle started in late February 2026, featuring nine courses over two weeks.
Down at the Crossroads • Packards galore and other treasures at Maungatapere’s museum
Taking it easy in Taupō • Taupō, known as a hot spot for active outdoor extreme tourism, can also be visited with a much slower pace in mind. Join Cam and Stephanie for one of their visits to their favourite holiday spots.
One last autumn adventure • As the South Island slips into autumn, the Southern Lakes region explodes into spectacular colour. Cool, crisp mornings and golden afternoons create the perfect conditions for exploring Wānaka and its surrounds. We packed up the caravan for one final trip before winter, chasing walks, glaciers and lakeside sunsets. It delivered everything we hoped for and more.
South Temple Hut Adventure - Freezing Rivers and Starry Nights • Kia ora, I’m Jade (14) and I travel full-time on the road with my family – my sister Riley (12), brother Toby (10), and our parents Mike & Soph. We have returned to the South Island and are into our fourth year of full-time caravanning. I’m loving the lifestyle of exploring our beautiful country.

Thoughts and reflections over 16 years
The RV industry – where to now? • It’s been quite a ride over the past 15 years. We’ve reviewed everything from basic motorhomes to luxury models, camp trailers, caravans, off-road beasts, home builds, and beautifully restored classics. Looking back through the records of what we’ve seen, written about, and walked through has been eye-opening.
